Four young girls between the ages of 6 and 18 live under the care of the Youth Protection Directorate. One of them, the youngest, Cathy (Émilie Bierre) is assigned to live with Réjeanne and Rénald. At first she is fearful, almost silent, and hides from the other girls who live under the same roof. One of them, Keyla, is 12 and rebels against authority. One day she is transferred in a group home where she lives with young women even more rebellious than her. Her roommate Megan decides to run away. Three months later, she is caught and ends up in a detention centre she escapes from, watched by Manu who just has come of age and does not know what to do with her new found freedom.
