Tom Cavanagh is probably best known for his starring role in the series ED, or more recently for playing Dr. Harrison Wells (pictured) in the series The Flash since 2014. Cavanagh was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for the highly acclaimed television movie, Bang, Bang, You’re Dead. Born in Ottawa, his parents moved the whole family to Ghana when he was 6, where they lived while working to improve the nation’s educational system. When Cavanagh was ready for high school they returned home and settled in Québec’s Eastern Townships in Lennoxville, near Sherbrooke, where he went to high school. After high school he went on to graduate from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario with degrees in English, Biology, and Education. He also played on the basketball team. His interest in theater grew when he was cast as the lead Danny Zuko in a production of the stage musical, Grease and made his Broadway debut in the musical Shenandoah.
