Richard Chevolleau was born in Kingston, Jamaica. At the age of eight, his family moved to Toronto in hopes of a better life. After bouncing from school to school, he transferred to George Vanier Secondary School where he began to apply himself academically. It was here that he began to find an outlet for his creative energy. He enrolled in drama thinking it would be an easy credit, but two years later he found himself making the school’s honour roll. After high school, Chevolleau put university on hold and studied the Meisner Technique under Paul Bardier and later trained at the Maggie Bassett Studio. He soon began receiving offers to act. At first it was small guest roles in TV shows and movies, including Friday the 13th, E.N.G., Counterstrike and Tek War. This led to opportunities in the United States where Richard was selected to co-star with Montel Williams in the CBS drama, Matt Waters. He also appeared in the critically acclaimed movies Rude and The Planet of Junior Brown. Richard Chevolleau is perhaps best known for his role as Marcus ‘Augur’ Deveraux in the Gene Roddenberry hit series Earth: Final Conflict. |
