B: August 23, 1960 in Toronto, Ontario

Chris Potter once hoped to be a professional athlete, but discovered a love of acting in school. He never really considered pursuing it as a career. Eventually he worked as a stockbroker in Europe and in Canada, while continuing to perform in amateur theater productions. He started his professional career when Martha Henry cast him to be part of a production of Biloxi Blues where he won rave reviews. Potter played David Carradine’s son and crime fighting partner in Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, which debuted in 1993 and aired for four seasons. He also starred as a hard-hitting police sergeant for three years in USA Network`s Silk Stalkings, where in addition to acting he directed some episodes. In 2005 he received a Gemini nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series, for his performance in Sex Traffic. Potter is is a member of the Hollywood All-Stars, a hockey team made up of people in the entertainment industry who play against local alumni and celebrity teams to raise money for local charities. He is pictured in his role as Tim Fleming on the CBC series, Heartland.
