B: in Newfoundland
Christine Tizzard was born in Newfoundland and was spotted by a model scout when she was 15. She went on to model in beauty campaigns around the world. As often happens, modelling led to various opportunities in film and television. One example was appearing in three Jesse Stone made-for-television movies, the last in 2015 also her last as an actor. Tizzard attended Toronto’s George Brown College and started a career in cuisine, which led her back to being both in front of and behind the cameras in a number of food/cooking shows. She has also written cookbooks titled “Honest to Goodness” and “Cook More Waste Less.” Also see: The Zero-Waste Kitchen
