Set in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Tuppence Middleton plays Abby who has fragments of a deep memory revived after she returns to her hometown following the death of her mother. The memory dates to her childhood and the things she remembers makes her believe she was a witness to a kidnapping. Reunited with her estranged younger sister, Laure (Hannah Gross), they work to settle their mother’s estate, which includes the sale of the family motel, but the past’s hold on Abby’s memory complicates everything. Look for a rare on-screen appearance by David Cronenberg in this highly anticipated third feature from Ottawa-born Albert Shin.
