Jesse Collins started his acting career in theatre and then branched out into TV and movies. He is best known for his role as Hank Katts in the TV series, Katts and Dog. Released in the United States the series was retitled, Rin Tin Tin: K-9 Cop. In 2001, he was nominated for an Emmy Award for his direction of the wildlife series Zoboomofoo for PBS. He is the founder of Harbourside Playhouse, a professional theatre company in Mississauga, where he has produced 27 shows over five years. He continues to direct at regional Canadian theatres each summer.
