Michel Roy is the son of a paralyzed writer, husband to a Congolese refugee and father of a future tennis champion. He is also a Belgian inventor misunderstood by his employer. At age 41, he learns he is adopted. He isn’t Belgian, not even European but was born secretly in a barn in Québec. Needing to find his true roots he travels to the sleepy village of Sainte-Cecile. While there, Michel meets a man who drives an anachronistic hybrid car. On their way to Montréal an accident will change their lives forever as well as the very future of the automotive industry. Congorama received the highly coveted Jutra Award for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actor in a Supporting Role and Best Screenplay. It also won a Genie Award for Best Original Screenplay. The film features an international cast including actors from Belgium and France. Northernstars.ca reviews Congarama |
