Michel Côté was a graduate from the National Theatre School and performed at Théâtre du Nouveau Monde, Nouvelle Compagnie Théâtrale, Théâtre de Quat’Sous and Compagnie Jean Duceppe to name a few. He was nominated for a Genie Award for Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his work in Cruising Bar. His television career resulted in, at last count, nine Prix Gémeaux nominations and four Gémeaux Awards for his roles in Bye Bye (1987), T’es belle Jeanne (1989), Omertà: le dernier des hommes d’honneur (1999) and La petite vie (1999). Michel Côté starred as the title character Robert Piché and was featured on the poster in the 2010 TVA Films release Piché: Entre ciel et Terre. He was last seen on screen in 2017, in De père en flic 2. Married to Véronique Le Flaguais, Michel Côté was 72 when he died in Montreal. |
