Duane Crichton is a graduate of Toronto`s Ryerson University and began his career as a music video director. In 2004, his videos Who Dat (Jelleestone) and Friend of Mine (In Essence) won MuchMusic Video Awards for Best Rap Video and Best Hip Hop Video, respectively. He subsequently focused on commercials and garnered wide attention when his Adidas spec spot Three won a Shots’ Young Directors Award at Cannes. He has directed commercials for Volkswagen, Toyota, Rogers, Home, Ontario Tourism and many other brands. For his work on the feature, Saving God, Duane Crichton was given a Best Director award at the First Glance Film Festival in 2009.
