David Eisner has more than three decades of experience working in television, film and theatre. One of his first roles was as the neighbourhood hooligan Guido Lefkowitz in the iconic CBC series King of Kensington. He was also a fixture as Michael Difalco in 110 episodes of the CBC teen series Hangin’ In between 1981 and 1987. In 2004, he received critical acclaim for his starring role in the biopic TV movie Choice: The Henry Morgentaler Story, playing the controversial abortion doctor. As well as acting in over 600 episodes of Rumours and Boarders on CBC Radio, Eisner has directed and produced over a dozen radio plays. On stage in Toronto in 2015 at the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company, he costarred in the Pulitzer Prize winning drama, Driving Miss Daisy playing the role of Daisy’s son Boolie Werthan, a role captured on camera in the movie version by Dan Aykroyd. Other credits from the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company include productions of Lost in Yonkers and New Jerusalem. |
