Geraint Wyn Davies moved to Canada when he was seven. Although primarily an actor he directed many episodes of Forever Knight in 1992, and Black Harbour in 1996. In addition to his work in TV and film, he also has an extensive list of stage credits including four seasons with the renowned Stratford Shakespeare Festival, plus five seasons with the Shaw Festival and leading roles many of the other stages across the continent. He also spent two seasons as an actor and Associate Director of Theatr Ciwyd, the Welsh National Performing Arts Company. Davies is pictured above in a publicity still from the Stratford Festival production of Antony and Cleoptra which was taped in high definition for theatrical release. Yanna McIntosh played Cleopatra. Writing in the Toronto Star, Richard Ouzounia said, “Geraint Wyn Davies offers us an Antony of boundless charm and eternal optimism.” And Robert Cushman of the National Post wrote, “Yanna McIntosh makes Cleopatra the consummate sexual manipulator, proud of her talents, furious when they fail her.” |
