Elizabeth St. Philip holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Montreal’s Concordia University in Journalism and Communications She is a senior producer at CTV National News where she covers stories for both the national news broadcast and the award-winning investigative series W5. Her work has won or been nominated for 20 awards from organizations such as the Canadian Association of Journalists, the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and the Radio Television Digital News Association. She also worked as a producer for CBC, Discovery Channel and was a field producer at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. She wrote and directed two documentaries for the National Film Board of Canada which appeared at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival and aired on CBC and the Documentary Channel. She wrote and directed Breakin’ In – the Making of a Hip Hop Dancer, which was nominated for a Golden Sheaf Award at the Yorkton Short Film & Video Festival and awarded the Certificate of Honourable Mention in the social issues category at the Columbus International Film & Video Festival.
