Anne Émond is a QuĂ©bec-based filmmaker. Her short film, L’ordre des choses was nominated for a Jutra award for the best short or medium-length Quebec film of the year and received the Coop VidĂ©o award for Best Short Film at the 2009 Rendez-vous du cinĂ©ma quĂ©bĂ©cois.Meanwhile Naissances was chosen one of the best Canadian short films of the year and received the Air Canada/Spafax award at the 2009 Prends ça court! festival. It also won the Gold Kazoo for the Best Short, KAFI, at the Francophone Film Festival in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 2010. Her first feature, Nuit #1 was named Best Canadian Film at the 2011 Vancouver International Film Festival. Anne Émond was given the 2012 Jutra Award for First time feature directors for her film, Nuit #1.
