Adapted from the wildly popular Float by Kate Marchant, a novel with over 25.2 million unique reads on Wattpad. Waverly (Andrea Bang) is on her way to spend the summer with her parents in China, when they call to cancel. They’ve managed to enroll her in a med school prep course in Toronto instead. Impulsively, Waverly flies to Tofino, BC and shows up at her estranged aunt’s doorstep, aimless and alone. As she contemplates her next move, she sees Blake, the boy next door (Robbie Amell) through her bedroom window, and we know… this is the beginning of a love story. Later on Waverly nearly drowns at a beach party and is rescued by Blake, who happens to be a lifeguard, who offers to teach her how to swim. Set in the breathtaking beaches and mountain trails of Tofino, the love story unfolds. Will Waverly and Blake find the courage to reimagine their lives with each other, or will their romance just be a fling that gets washed away by the tide?
