Sarah Gadon made her stage debut at the age of seven, playing a lamb in the National Ballet School of Canada’s production of The Nutcracker. Her professional television debut came a few years later when she made a guest appearance on the TV show Nikita at age 11. Since then, she has worked steadily in both film and TV, both in Canada and internationally. She is best known for appearing in three of David Cronenberg’s films, breaking out with A Dangerous Method, winning a Vancouver Film Critics Award for Cosmopolis and appearing in Map to the Stars. She won a Canadian Screen Award for her performance in Denis Villeneuve’s Enemy. In November of 2015 it was announced that Sarah Gadon would be honoured by ACTRA Toronto with their Award of Excellence in 2016. She won a 2018 Canadian Screen Award for Best Lead Actress in a Limited Series for her role in the mini-series Alias Grace.
