For a few years Guilbeault starred in more than one film a year, and later in her career became a documentary writer-producer, while still continuing to accept the occasional role as an actor. The 1980 documentary, Some American Feminists was co-directed by Guilbeault, Nicole Brossard and Margaret Wescott.
