Peter Hanlon completed four years of study at Ryerson University Theatre School in Toronto in 1979 and began to work almost immediately. After moving to Vancouver he continued his acting career working mainly in television. In 1991 he expanded his work as an actor be teaching a part-time evening acting class. With his trained and natural abilities to communicate the often difficult concepts faced by new actors, he realized that the industry needed this sort of service and so 1 year later he created the highly regarded and internationally recognized 2-Year Fulltime Acting Program at the Gastown Actors Studio in Vancouver. He currently teaches at New Image, where he sits as one of their premier acting coaches. Hanlon gained international recognition by portraying the iconic suicidal teacher in the top grossing film of 2000, Scary Movie. |
