Born in Vancouver to Danish parents, Heidi Sorenson spent part of her childhood growing up Denmark. She was working as a junior bookkeeper in the accounting department of a Vancouver radio station when she was spotted by a photographer. His photos led to her being selected for a Playboy shoot and she was Playmate of the Month in July 1981, the same year she began her career on camera and was a guest on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson. The 1987 film Roxanne costarred Steve Martin and Daryl Hannah and had roles for fellow Canadians John Kapelos and Brian George. |
