Arthur Hiller, perhaps best known for helming the enormously popular Love Story, was given a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Directors’ Guild of Canada in October of 2004. The Santa Clarita International Film Festival also gave him a Lifetime Achievement Award in March 2001.
