| Andrew Huculiak is the drummer in a band called We Are The City. Their 2013 album was titled Violent. Originally planned as a companion piece to that album of the same name, the film evolved into a stand-alone project. After a five-month writing session that included Huculiak’s bandmate Cayne McKenzie, along with his Amazing Factory production company partners Joseph Schweers and Josh Huculiak, everybody headed over to Bergen, Norway for the self-financed shoot. Violent premiered at Cannes in 2014 and won both the Best BC Film Award and the Best Canadian Film Award at the 2014 Vancouver International Film Festival. | |||
