Bruce Hunter has worked as a stand-up comedian, a sketch comedy performer, an improv teacher, a serious theatre and movie actor, a clown, a mime and even a muppeteer. He studied improvisation at the University of Calgary before moving to Toronto in the early eighties where he performed with The Illustrated Men for nearly fifteen years. In his list of theatre credits is a serious role as Vladmir in The Illustrated Men’s Waiting For Godot. As a stand-up, he’s performed at Yuk Yuk’s in Toronto, Punchlines in Vancouver. In addition, he has also directed The Kids In The Hall and at one time, worked as a muppeteer for Henson Productions. He produced the wildly successful Let Us Aspartame You benefit in aid of Diabetes and won a Bessie For Best Performance of 1994. He was host of the Canadian Comedy Awards in 2005. |
