Joshua Jackson was born in Vancouver to an American father and an Irish-born mother but grew up in California and then Seattle, Washington. He moved back to Vancouver with his mother and younger sister when he was about 8 years old. He became interested in acting at a very young age and began begging his mother, who worked as a casting director, to send him out on auditions when he was only nine. He landed a role in a commercial for Keebler’s Potato Chips, then scored his first big role as Charlie in the Mighty Ducks movie series. He played is pictured in the role of Cole Lockhart on the steamy series The Affair. He spent part of 2018 on Broadway playing speech therapist James Leeds in a production of Children of a Lesser God.
