Ron James is, quite simply, one of the funniest people you could ever hope to meet. James starred as Benny “Blackfly” Broughton in the two seasons of the comedy series, Blackfly. Born in Glace Bay, his family later moved to Halifax when James was still very young. He grew up there and attended Acadia University, studying history and political science with the intention of becoming a history teacher.
