Jamie Kastner is a documentary filmmaker. He comes by his talent naturally. One uncle was the actor Peter Kastner and another is the four-time Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker, John Kastner. Jamaie Kastner’s 2016 film, The Skyjacker’s Tale is a documentary thriller about Ishmael Muslim Ali (né Labeet), one of the most wanted U.S. fugitives ever, who successfully hijacked a plane to Cuba after being convicted of murdering eight people on a golf course owned by the Rockefellers. His 2018 documentary, There Are No Fakes, had its World Premiere at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival. We list his credits as a director first. Also see: Big Shots at Hot Docs. |
