John Illingworth is primarily a stage actor. He has appeared in plays at the Alumnae Theatre, Canopy Theatre, Hart House Theatre and Stage Centre to name just a few. He appeared at the 2011 Toronto Fringe Festival in Saved, a disturbing play by Edward Bond that is about lower class British youth who have become desensitized to sex and violence to the point of sociopathy. He played the role of one of the parents.
