After Lindsay Leese graduated from the National Theatre School in 1982, along with Henry Czerny among others, she ended up filling time between gigs by waitressing at the Second City in Toronto. Fellow Northernstar Catherine O’Hara did the same thing. Watching the performers inspired her and with her formal training behind her, a career was born. In addition to her work in film and TV she often performs character-driven monologues on stage and in her improvisational work. Lindsay is also the Artistic Director of the Tim Sims Playhouse, an alternate space at Second City in Toronto named in honour of her husband who passed away in 1995 at the age of 34. |
