Linda Goranson enjoys a bit of notoriety, although enjoy may not be the right word. She appeared in 1970 episode of the CBC anthology series The Manipulators. The episode was titled “The Spike in the Wall,” in which her character removes her blouse to attract her husband’s attention. Controversial at the time, it is thought to be the first topless scene broadcast on Canadian network television. Goranson won a Canadian Film Award for Best Actress at the 22nd Canadian Film Awards for her work on this program. The TV series The Great Detective starred Douglas Campbell in the title role.
