Émily works at a very select bar called The Liverpool. One night one of the patrons is rushed to hospital leaving behind an overcoat, for which he never returns. Concerned and maybe a little curious, Émilie decides to return it herself but unexpectedly finds that she has fallen into a criminal conspiracy totally unaware of the ramifications. Meanwhile, another patron of The Liverpool, Thomas, who is secretly in love with Émilie, decides to quit his advertising job to help, risking his own life. Thomas is a bit shy, lacks confidence and is not very muscular, but he has ideas. After all, he dreamed of being a journalist so that he could denounce injustice. Now, finally, perhaps he will be able to kill two birds with one stone. Save the planet and have an impact on a girl. Or vice versa.

This film should not be confused with the 2008 Argentina-France-Germany coproduction also titled Liverpool, and directed by Lisandro Alonso.
