CĂ©line and her twin sister Liette started out as a singing act and first enjoyed wide popularity when they were the hit of the Festival du Disque in QuĂ©bec in 1968. Shortly after that CĂ©line was offered a role in the Denis HĂ©roux film, L’Initiation. Although CĂ©line and Liette stopped performing together that year, CĂ©line released a solo 45 and continued to have a highly successful career as a singer as well as becoming a more accomplished actor.
