Shaun Majumder’s mother is a Newfoundlander and his father is East-Indian. His career began as a television announcer on the game show CLIPS which aired on Canada`s YTV. He was then tapped to host the network`s Brain Wash. He joined CBC’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes in 2003 and then hosted 15 episodes of the Just For Laughs specials on television. Majumder Manor is a documentary series about his attempt to create a market for tourism in Burlington, N.L., his hometown in northwestern Newfoundland, where he loves to spend time when he’s not in L.A. or on the road doing stand-up comedy. He says very few people get to experience the town’s hospitality, because there is nowhere to stay and no restaurants. It was announced in late August 2018 that Shaun Majumder would be leaving This Hour Has 22 Minutes.
