Gary Marcuse is a writer, director and producer of documentaries and classroom resources. A recipient of Gemini and Genie awards, his television documentaries include The Mind of a Child for the Knowledge Network and CBC Newsworld, and Nuclear Dynamite and Arktika, the Russian Dream that Failed for CBC The Nature of Things. He also wrote and directed three episodes of the Champions of the Wild series. He is the past president of the Documentary Organization of Canada and past president and national representative of the BC chapter of the Writer`s Guild of Canada. From 2004 to 2008 he was a Programming Executive for CBC television and a liaison for the CBC documentary unit. In 2011 his film Waking the Green Tiger was named Best Canadian Feature Film at the Planet in Focus Film Festival. |
