Amy Matysio graduated with a BFA in Acting from the University of Regina. She also studied at the University College of York St. John in England. Matysio is a five-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee, a Canadian Improv Games alumni, and has been an ensemble member with the wildly popular General Fools Improvisational Theatre Company since 1997. A character driven comedienne, she has been featured at numerous North American Festivals including Improvaganza (Edmonton), Tournament of Wonders (Toronto), Dad’s Garage World Domination TheatreSports Tournament (Atlanta, GA), and If…(Winnipeg). Throughout her seventeen years of performing and studying improv she has been a main-stage performer with the renowned Vancouver TheatreSports League and has guested with companies including The Sunday Service, !nstant Theatre, Ghost Jail, Dad’s Garage, Bad Dog Theatre, Catch 23, Rapid Fire Theatre and Urban Improv. She was nominated in 2019 for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Actress in a Drama Program or Limited Series for her performance in Save Me. |
