Mercedes Leggett was born to a Scottish-Canadian father and a Filipina mother. When she was a senior in high school in Toronto, she played basketball and was named Miss Canada in the Miss Asia Pacific competition. Offered a basketball scholarship by a Division 1 NCAA university, she decided to pursue an acting career. She studied with renowned acting coach Lewis Baumander. Mercedes Leggett plays the role of Agent Vasquez in the 2023 April Mullen sci-fi feature, Simulant. |
