Blending live action and animation, Can I Get a Witness? is set in the near future when we have managed to solve all the world’s problems: mitigated climate change, eradicated poverty and achieved trans-species equality. But that doesn’t mean everything is perfect. Travel and technology are virtually banned, and people who reach the age of 50 have to submit to death to control the size of the population, while young people are tasked with artistically documenting their final moments. It’s Kiah’s first day on the job.
