Miriam Newhouse is usually associated with the stage. In addition to writing about the theatre she has been involved at various levels. Working with the Edmonton`s Citadel Theatre, Newhouse initiated their Cital on Wheels/Wings program in 1968 which saw performers able to tour schools and communities through northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories. One of her books is “The Actor`s Survival Kit” which was cowritten with Peter Messaline. The book includes everything the Canadian actor needs to know about the acting profession.
