Cecilia Parker is best remembered for her ongoing role as Andy Hardy’s sister in the “Hardy Family” series of movies made by MGM between 1937 and 1946, and in Andy Hardy Comes Home in 1958. Trivia buffs will know she played a maid in the original 1931 version of Frankenstein. Except for two appearances after her last Andy Hardy movie in 1946, Cecilia Parker retired from movie making and ran a real estate company with her husband in Ventura, California. Andy Hardy was played by Mickey Rooney who was born Joe Yule Jr. in Brooklyn, New York in 1920.
