Don Paul left Canada in 1979 when he was hired by Disney after they saw the films he had made while at the Alberta College of Art. At Disney he worked in Visual Effects on Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Pocahontas. He was hired away by Dreamworks to be Visual Effects Superisor on The Prince of Egypt. He is one of three directors who worked on The Road to El Dorado.
