Tamara Podemski is Ojibway/Israeli. She is a graduate of the Claude Watson School for the Performing Arts in Toronto where she studied theatre, dance, and music throughout its 10-year program. Her career began at age 9 when she was the lead singer on a children’s album. Her work in Four Sheets to the Wind was recognized with a Special Jury Prize for Acting at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival. This was the first time a Native North American had won an award for acting at Sundance, and also a first for any Canadian actress. Podemski now makes her home in Los Angeles. Official website |
