Ken Pogue pictured as Beautiful Joe in a 2000 publicity still. Trained as a stage actor, Pogue took individual training with teachers and coaches in Toronto, as well as learning on stage as an amateur actor. He was then hired by the Crest Theater and later joined the Canadian Players, touring Shakespeare up and down the East Coast of the United States. Like many people from the Canadian Players, he ended up in Stratford, eventually acting there for ten seasons. He died of cancer.
