Ralph Lucas

Ralph Lucas is an award-winning writer-director in highend corporate and commercial video production. His short screenplay The Next Best Thing to War won the top award at Creative Screenwriting Magazines Screenwriting Expo 5 in Los Angeles. His short video Stopping in Cabbagetown was selected to open the 2006 Cabbagetown Short Film and Video Festival. He wrote, directed, produced the feature-length documentary Three for the Road. Not listed below are his credits as Producer-Director and sometimes Interviewer for the Northernstars interview series.

As a writer, his short fiction has been used on radio in Montreal and Toronto and published in Canada, the United States, England, India and Australia. In 2020 he published a fictionalized memoir titled The Strathmore Stories, which was also released as an eBook. As well as being the Founder and Publisher of Northernstars.ca, he is also the Founder and Curator of the Northernstars™ Collection of film images. His work as a photographer can be found throughout this website. Some of the Collection images and photographs are slowly being added to our companion Instagram page.
