Mark Rendall in a still from the feature The Year of the Carnivore. He was nominated for a Gemini in 2002 for his role in the Hallmark TV series Tales From The Neverending Story. Mark decided he wanted to become an actor when he was just 11 years old. Soon after, the Cameron MacIntosh London Touring Company production of the hit stage musical Oliver announced they would be holding open auditions for children. Although he had no acting or singing experince, his parents drove the young hopeful to the audition all the while making sure he was prepared for disappointment. But Mark not only landed a part as one of Fagin`s gang of pickpockets, but he also ended up being named understudy for the lead role, and as a result had a number of opportunities to star as Oliver. |
