Caroline Gilchrist Rhea wanted to do stand-up comedy when she was just 8 years old. She went to New York to study the art of stand-up in 1989 before moving to Los Angeles to start production on Sabrina, The Teenage Witch where she played Hilda Spellman for 142 episodes. Rhea regularly performed at a number of comedy clubs, including The Comic Strip, Boston Comedy Club and Stand Up New York. She has released two of her stand up shows on DVD: One Night Stand, released in 2005 and Caroline Rhea and Friends, released in 2011. In 2004, Caroline returned to her hometown (she was actually born in Westmount, a city-suburb of Montréal) to perform her one-woman show, Hello, Can You Help Me? which is based on her experiences working at Montréal’s Centaur Theatre in the early 1980s. She plays the role of Judy Reynolds on the series Sydney to the Max. |
