Karen Robinson is an award-winning actor who when not in front of the cameras is just as happy on stage including appearances at Stratford, Ontario and Calgary’s Alberta Theatre Projects to name just two. Nominated for a Betty in 1998, Robinson is a Dora winner for her work in Andrew Moodie’s Riot. She was also nominated for the Black Film and Video Festival’s Reel Black Awards for Best Actress her work in the short film, Short Hymn Silent War from actor-director, Charles Officer. She may also be remembered for taking on the task of playing mother to Dennis Rodman in Bad As I Wanna Be. Robinson is probably best known for her role as Ronnie Lee in 46 episodes of the award-winning series Schitt’s Creek between 2015 and 2020. In the series Pretty Hard Cases Robinson plays Unit Commander Edwina Shanks.
