Gabrielle Rose is an award-winning stage and film actor. In September 2008, Rose starred as Sister Aloysius in the Arts Club Theatre production of Doubt. A few previous credits include The Glass Menagerie, and Elizabeth Rex. Writing about her work in the 2005 production of Schiller’s Mary Stewart, the Vancouver Courier said, in part, “Gabrielle Rose dazzles us with her nuanced performance.” She made her film debut in 1985, with a bit part in the Disney adventure movie The Journey of Natty Gann and in 1987, began a long collaboration with Atom Egoyan appeariung in his award-winning drama Family Viewing. Other Egoyan films in which Rose had roles include the 1997 drama The Sweet Hereafter and Where the Truth Lies, starring Kevin Bacon and Colin Firth. Her longest stay on television was on Robson Arms, about life in and around an apartment building in Vancouver’s West End. She is pictured in a publicity still from the 2016 film The Birdwatcher. |
