Route 132 in Québec is the longest highway in the province. It is a meandering scenic road that is sometimes called The Navigator`s Route. In the movie we meet Gilles, a man of about thirty, who has just lost his son and cannot accept it. Any reason to escape becomes valid. Gilles and his old friend Bob, two small-time crooks, decide to hit the road and start out for the Bas-du-Fleuve where, they believe, the cash registers are crammed with the savings of old people and where there are 0.1 policeman per kilometre. But their journey is filled with unpredictable events and when it takes an unexpected turn, both men find themselves on the path of hope and renewal.
