Tygh Runyan studied at Emily Carr College of Art at the same time as he was getting into acting. He has been nominated for three Leo Awards: in 2005 for “Short Drama: Best Musical Score” in White Out; in 2006 for “Best Supporting Performance by a Male in a Feature Length Drama” in The French Guy; and in 2007 for “Best Supporting Performance by a Male in a Feature Length Drama” in Mount Pleasant. He was also nominated for a Vancouver Film Critics Circle Award for his work in Various Positions. He played the role of Fabien Marchal in the opulent TV series, Versailles.
