Lisa Ryder

Lisa Ryder is probably best known for her role as Beka Valentine, commander of the salvage ship, Eureka Maru, and first officer of the Andromeda Ascendant. Ryder graduated in 1992 from the University of Toronto Theatre School. In addition to her drama degree, she studied ballet at the Edmonton School of Ballet, jazz dance at Toronto’s Metro Movement as well as taking courses in improv at Second City. Equally accomplished in live theater, Ryder has starred in more than 25 plays.
