Matt Sadowski is a former actor who now concentrates his energies and talent on being a writer, producer and director. His short films Jimmy and Plus or Minus have won awards at festivals around the world, and The Butterfly and the Bee played at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. In 2011, Sadowski was awarded the prestigious Drama Prize from the National Screen Institute for his short film S is for Bird. Sadowski also directed two seasons of The Right Hand, a reality show he co-created for HBO Canada/The Movie Network. He is most well-known for his direction of the documentary Don’t You Forget About Me, a ‘love letter’ to John Hughes. His most recent short films, The Tape and S is for Bird screened at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival.
