Having obtained a degree in administration, Nathalie Saint-Pierre continued her university studies in cinema and art history, and also got involved in film production through the independent filmmakers’ collective Les Films de l’Autre. She then wrote, directed, and produced two short films, including L’Abîme appelle l’abîme, which was nominated as short film at the Rendez-Vous du cinéma québécois. Her film Ma voisine danse le ska was awarded the Radio-Canada prize for best script for a debut feature film. Catimini is her second feature film.
